Lush Collection

There’s no doubt that I’m a MASSIVE fan of Lush, so I thought it was about time that I share my collection with you and talk about my personal favourite Lush products.

It’s no secret that Christmas is my absolute favourite holiday, so when Lush released their Christmas range last year, I was beyond excited to use them. My favourite items from the Christmas collection include Butter Bear and Five Gold Rings. They both have quite a strong vanilla fragrance which is one of my favourite scents, so it was quite easy for me to love them. My collection includes:

  • Five Gold Rings Bubble Bar
  • Golden Wonder Bath Bomb
  • Peeping Santa Bubble Bar
  • Butter Bear Bath Bomb

I’ve also tried Bar Humbug Bubble Bar which has an incredible liquorice scent and turns the bath water an amazing shade of purple.

Valentines Day

I also could not resist purchasing a few items from the Valentines Day range when they were released, as they were so cute and came in amazing pink and red colours. My favourite item from this collection would have to be Pink Flamingo. It has such a lovely fruity scent and I love that it is bright pink, what’s even better is that it is reusable! My collection includes:

  • Pink Flamingo Bubble Bar
  • Lover Lamp Bath Bomb

I did also purchase Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar which is a wonderful pastel rainbow striped horn, with a soothing lavender scent.

Another of my favourite holidays is Easter, it is an amazing weekend to spend time with your family and to not feel guilty for that cheeky chocolate rabbit that somehow is now down to just his feet. However, it is also the time of year when Lush brings out its incredible Easter range, including the classic egg and carrot shapes and even Humpty Dumpty. My favourite item from this collection is Fluffy Egg, it has a lovely candy floss scent and turns the water a beautiful shade of pink. My collection includes:

  • Golden Egg Bath Bomb
  • Bunch of Carrots Bubble Bar
  • Which Came First? Bath Bomb
  • Humpty Dumpty Bath Bomb
  • Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb

Everyday Products

Although my absolute favourite Lush products tend to be the holiday themed ones, I do still love the classic bath bombs and melts that are available all year round. My favourite item from the everyday products would have to be Big Blue. It’s big, it’s blue and with a refreshing lemon and lavender scent, what’s not to love? My collection includes:

  • Candy Mountain Bubble Bar
  • Think Pink Bath Bomb
  • Big Blue Bath Bomb
  • Creamy Candy Bubble Bar
  • Big Liquid Shampoo (Sample)
  • Bohemian Soap (Sample)
  • Dirty Soap (Sample)

Another product available all year round that I love is Sunny Side Bubble Bar. It has an incredible citrus scent and leaves your bath shimmering with gold glitter, a perfect pick-me-up for those dull, grey days.

What are your favourite Lush products? Do you prefer the all year round products or the holiday themed products? I’d love to know!

Cadbury Creme Egg Cupcakes

With Easter just around the corner, I took to Pinterest to discover new and exciting recipes that I could use to incorporate baking and my ever lasting love of Cadbury Creme Eggs and create something delicious that everyone could enjoy. While scrolling through the hundreds of mouth-watering pictures of cheesecakes and muffins, I stumbled upon this recipe for Cadbury Creme Egg Cupcakes by Sarah Barnes. Let’s get started!

You Will Need:

  • 150g Caster Sugar
  • 150g Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 3 Free Range Eggs (Medium Size)
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 120g Self-Raising Flour
  • 30g Cocoa Powder
  • 12 Mini Cadbury Creme Eggs

For The Icing:

  • 175g Unsalted Butter
  • 350g Icing Sugar
  • Yellow Food Colouring
  • 75g Dark Chocolate

  • 12 Brown Muffin Cases
  • Star Piping Nozzle
  • 2 Disposable Piping Bags

What To Do:

  1. Freeze your mini Creme Eggs for a couple of hours, or overnight.
  2. Pre-heat your oven to 180C.
  3. Beat the caster sugar and butter until light and pale.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, don’t worry if the mixture begins to look a little curdled.
  5. Mix in the flour and cocoa. If you’ve been using a mixer, do this bit by hand with a spoon or a spatula.
  6. Put a spoonful of batter into each muffin case, in a muffin tray.
  7. Unwrap your Creme Eggs and place one, laying on its side, in the middle of each muffin case, on top of the batter.
  8. Top with the rest of the batter and with a spoon, gently move the batter in the cases, so that you can’t see any of the frozen eggs and they are totally covered with batter.
  9. Bake for about 20 minutes or until they are slightly bouncy to the touch. You might need to adjust the time by 2-3 minutes either way, depending on your oven.
  10. Meanwhile, make your icing, beat your butter until it’s pale, light and fluffy.
  11. Beat in your icing sugar, followed by a teaspoon or two of boiling water to soften and lighten the texture of the buttercream.
  12. Split the icing between two bowls and colour one using the yellow food colouring. Use the tip of a knife and add more colouring as you go until you get the shade you desire.
  13. When your cupcakes are completely cold, put your star shaped nozzle into a piping bag, then spoon in the white buttercream on one half of the bag and the yellow icing on the other half.
  14. Pipe swirls onto your cupcakes.
  15. Melt the chocolate and allow to cool. Spoon it into a piping bag and snip 2-3mm off the end of the bag. Use the bag to dribble the cooled chocolate in squiggles over the top.

Hello Everyone

Welcome to my blog!

I have been planning to write my own blog for quite a while now, so as I’ve begun studying from home and have a lot more time on my hands, now seems like the perfect time to start. So back to basics – I’m Cheyenne, 19 years old and live in New Zealand. After graduating with a certificate in Business Administration last year, I have decided to completely change directions and focus on something that has always been a passion of mine…design. I will go into more detail about this another time.

As a design lover I will include my favourite fashion, homeware and room designs as well as different DIY’s that you can try at home. But it will be widely lifestyle based about anything you can think of from what I’m wearing and what I’m doing to everything that I am loving in that moment.

I’m so excited about finally being able to start this and I hope you’re just as excited about reading it! 🙂
